Brazil’s Lula, China’s Xi Solidify Anti-West Bloc Aimed at Displacing US

The officials of both nations have signed more than 20 different bilateral agreements amid the commotion surrounding Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva’s’s visit to China, which started on April 12.

On the surface, the adventure appeared to be a routine political visit. Nevertheless, some claim that it highlights the continued deterioration of ties with the US.

Brazil’s’s largest exchange member is China, and both countries are essential members of the BRICS trade union. South Africa, India, and Russia are already members of this bond. The desire to replace the U.S. dime in trade and as a global reserve currency is openly expressed by users of the trade union.

U.S. officials and experts have expressed concern over Brazil’s’s plan shift in favor of Beijing and other authoritarian governments since left-wing Lula took back control of the country.

It all began on February 26 when Lula welcomed Egyptian vessels. The news that Brazil would start using the Chinese yuan in trade transactions rather than the U.S. dollar on March 29 swiftly followed this.

Sen. James Risch( R-Idol) expressed concern about Brazil’s’s general cooperation with” maligned foreign influences ,” including China, during a March Foreign Relations Committee.

In the same hearing, U.S. Department of State assistant secretary of state for Western Hemisphere Affairs Brian Nichols stated that he is” certainly bothered” about China’s’s significant investment.

The Beijing-backed New Development Bank ( NDB) will be used as a yuan clearing facility as part of the Brazil-China agreement. Increased renminbi production and power in the Americas are the objectives.

Lula was in Shanghai when Dilma Rousseff, his former chief of staff and a Socialist insurgent fighter from the 1960s, was installed as the NDB’s’s new leader. After Lula took office as president of Brazil in 2011, Rousseff was removed from office by Congress in 2016 due to poor financial management.

Rousseff oversaw the creation of the NDB, so her visit as its head on April 13 was the icing on top of current insurance gaffes by Western leaders.

According to experts, Brazil’s’s decision to distance itself from the US dollar and support authoritarian regimes shows how BRICS, especially China, are prioritized away of its relationship with the United States.

On the Wall, Writing

Some Brazilians claim that Lula’s’s efforts to strengthen ties with China and bring BRICS to the fore have been long in coming.

Ernesto Arajo, the former foreign minister of Brazil, told The Epoch Times that” they ] BRICS ] essentially want to annul the United States as a world power.”

Lula, according to Arajo, was committed to forging relationships with anti-American institutions long before he took office again in January.

But Arajo wasn’t shocked. UNASUR, a South American trade union founded in 2008 by former Colombian leader Hugo Chavez, includes Lula as one of its founding members. UNASUR, according to Chavez at the time, was intended to assume American influence in the area.

Arajo observed that the BRICS mission was neglected while he was serving as former President Jair Bolsonaro’s’s minister of foreign affairs. China and BRICS, meanwhile, have been pushed to the bottom of Brazil’s’s political priority listing with Lula in cost.

Now it’s’s obvious that Lula wants to use BRICS at full speed, Arajo said.

Chinese leader Xi Jinping referred to Brazil and China as the” two biggest developing countries and emerging markets in the Eastern and Western hemispheres” in a news release on April 14 during Lula’s’s view.

The two nations have” extensive common interests ,” the brief continued.

According to some protection economists, this is where the threat to the US lies.

Irina Tsukerman, a local security analyst and the creator of Scarab Rising, said that although Brazil and China have long-standing relations, the current situation is particularly vulnerable.

Tsukerman pointed out that Beijing’s’s anti-Western change is challenging to combat because China has effectively bought devotion by injecting large sums of money into the Brazilian business.

” Brazil, like Venezuela, is on the verge of becoming a hub for robust systems throughout Latin America.” She claimed that” cleverness networks, drug cartel, helping China with its fentanyl trafficking services, and social influence favorable to Beijing’s’s passions and concerning to U.S. security interest” were all involved.
