CNN Host Accuses Hunter Biden’s Child’s Mother of Far-Right Ties
CNN host Jake Tapper recently made controversial claims about Lunden Alexis Roberts, the woman who had a child with Hunter Biden and was left to raise the child alone. Tapper accused Roberts of having connections to the “far right,” sparking a heated debate.
Tapper, who faced a decline in ratings and was removed from prime time last year, defended his accusations by pointing out that Roberts had enlisted the help of a former Donald Trump aide as an expert witness in her lawsuit against Biden.
“We should point out, just for the sake of fairness,” Tapper stated, “that [the child’s] mom, who you know had the incident with Hunter… has been associated with some far-right individuals, like that Ziegler guy.”
Garrett Ziegler, a former member of Trump adviser Peter Navarro’s team, gained attention for publishing a comprehensive 600-page report on Biden’s abandoned laptop. When Roberts collaborated with Ziegler in May, Biden’s legal team expressed concern about the former Trump aide’s testimony and attempted to disqualify him as an expert witness, as reported by the Washington Free Beacon.
Fortunately, Biden and Roberts have now reached a settlement in their lawsuit, bringing some resolution to the situation.
President Biden Faces Criticism for Not Acknowledging Grandchild
President Joe Biden has faced criticism for refusing to acknowledge Roberts’s child as one of his grandchildren. This stance has even drawn disapproval from some liberals. In a thought-provoking column titled “It’s Seven Grandkids, Mr. President” published in the New York Times, Maureen Dowd criticized the president for displaying a “cold shoulder—and heart” by not acknowledging his own granddaughter.
Dowd wrote, “Joe Biden’s mantra has always been that ‘the absolute most important thing is your family.’ Callously disregarding [his granddaughter’s] life, just as it begins, undermines that sentiment.”
