Trump criticizes RFK Jr. for being ‘even more liberal’ than Democrats
Former President Donald Trump criticized Robert F. Kennedy Jr. for his liberal views, stating that despite being more liberal than Democratic candidates, Kennedy faced challenges within the party. Trump accused Democrats of using oppressive tactics to expel Kennedy, claiming he took away votes from President Biden. Kennedy now identifies as an Independent. Former President Donald Trump called Robert F. Kennedy Jr. “far more LIBERAL” than any of the Democratic candidates — including Green Party presidential candidate Jill Stein and Independent presidential candidate Cornel West.
“Yet despite this, he has no hope as a Democrat because they were able to use their typically Fascist tactics of repression and throw him out of the Party, like a dog, because he was taking primary votes away from the worst President in the history of our Country, Crooked Joe Biden,” Trump wrote on Truth Social on Sunday. “So now, Juniors’ a so-called Independent, but he’s not, he’s a Radical Left Lunatic, but trying to have it all ways.”
Trump’s attack on Kennedy comes after a recent radio interview where the former president said that while the independent candidate’s campaign may hurt Biden, he “probably hurts [us] both.”
Previously, those fears of Kennedy taking away votes were saved for Democrats. Polling from earlier this year showed Trump beating Biden by large margins when including Kennedy in the race. Now, the margin between Democratic and Republican votes has narrowed as Kennedy’s campaign has picked up traction.
As the margin between himself and Biden narrows, Trump has tried to paint Kennedy as a hard-left Democrat on social media.

On Friday, he shared a longer post about RFK, calling him a Democratic plant to help Biden’s campaign. He said a vote for Kennedy would be a “wasted protest vote.”
