Trump ally Laura Loomer rebuked by White House and MAGA allies: ‘Stain on society’

Both Republicans and Democrats are attacking Republican activist Laura Loomer over racially disparaging comments she recently made about Vice President Kamala Harris.

Loomer, a strident supporter of former President Donald Trump, traveled with the former president’s team to the debate in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Loomer also was part of Trump’s travel party Wednesday to the Sept. 11 memorial services in New York and Pennsylvania.

Just days prior, however, she posted that if Harris wins in November, “the White House will smell like curry & White House speeches will be facilitated via a call center.”

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre was asked about the comment during Thursday’s press briefing. She attacked Loomer and condemned Trump for allowing her into their orbit.

“It is repugnant, these types of comments. Un-American to say these types of things. It’s exactly the kind of hateful and divisive rhetoric that we should denounce and should not, should not be part of the fabric of this country,” Jean-Pierre responded. “It doesn’t matter what your political views are. We should stand and condemn these types of just repugnant, repugnant words.”

Jean-Pierre added that “no leader should ever associate with someone who spreads this kind of ugliness, this kind of racist poison” and went after Loomer for previously claiming that the Sept. 11 terrorism attacks were an “inside job.”

Trump’s decision to embrace Loomer has angered some of his top supporters on Capitol Hill, including Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) and Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA).

Greene, who claims she used to be friends with Loomer, verbally sparred with the firebrand on X earlier this week about how her presence could hurt Trump’s election chances. While speaking to reporters Thursday on Capitol Hill, Greene claimed that Loomer “doesn’t represent MAGA as a whole.”

“It doesn’t represent who we are as Republicans,” she stated, adding Loomer’s “rhetoric and hateful tone” could be a “huge problem.”

Graham similarly sounded the alarm over Loomer following the debate, leading her to question his sexuality on X on Thursday morning.

“Ms. Loomer is a stain on society. There should be no place of prominence in this country for her vile, mean-spirited, destructive, racist rhetoric and views,” Graham’s communications director, Taylor Reidy, told the Washington Examiner. “Senator Graham shares Rep. Greene’s concern about how this could affect the campaign and our country.”

Loomer has a lengthy track record of making inflammatory comments, including calling the late-Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee (D-TX) a “ghetto b***h” and repeating conspiracy theories about the 9/11 attacks.
