Study Claims People Who Refused COVID Vax More Likely To Have Car Accidents – And People Have Thoughts

A new study claims that people who refused to get one of the available COVID vaccines may be more likely to be involved in motor vehicle accidents — and people have … thoughts.

“People who skipped their COVID vaccine are at higher risk of traffic accidents, according to a new study,” the headline at Fortune reads, citing a study published in The American Journal of Medicine. The study examined encrypted government records of some 11 million adults (of whom 16% had not received a COVID vaccine) and then cross tabulated serious car accidents and vaccinations.

According to the data, unvaccinated adults were 72% more likely to be involved in a serious accident — meaning that at least one person involved was taken to a hospital for treatment as a result of the crash. The study noted that the increased risk appeared similar to that of drivers who suffer from sleep apnea, but was about half of the risk assumed by people who used alcohol.

While the study was very clear in stating that simply not being vaccinated did not increase the risk of an accident, the working theory was that people who were willing to take personal health risks by not getting vaccinated might also engage in riskier driving habits or “neglect basic road safety guidelines.”

Dr. Zoe Barcombe, PhD, noted that one variable in particular may have been ignored: the fact that younger men were both more likely to be involved in car accidents and less likely to have opted to take the vaccine. “Younger males are less likely to be jabbed and more likely to have a car crash.
