Hunter Biden has privately resolved child support issues with his daughter’s mother.

Hunter Biden Settles Child Support Dispute in Private

Hunter Biden and the mother of his 4-year-old daughter have reached a private settlement in their child support dispute in Arkansas. The final terms of the agreement are yet to be determined, according to Lunden Roberts’ lawyer, Clint Lancaster.

Although Lancaster did not confirm the reduced monthly payment of $5,000, Roberts has agreed to lower her $20,000 monthly child support payments after attending Hunter’s deposition in Little Rock last week.

“The case is sealed, and these are financial terms that should never be disclosed,” Lancaster stated, emphasizing the importance of keeping the details confidential. He warned that any leaks about the settlement could jeopardize the negotiations and result in Hunter appearing in an Arkansas court on July 11.

Earlier this month, a judge ordered Hunter to personally appear in court in July to face potential contempt proceedings and even jail time for allegedly concealing his finances during the child support battle with the mother of his child.

The child, Navy Joan Roberts, was born in Arkansas in August 2018 while Hunter was in a relationship with Hallie Biden, his deceased brother Beau Biden’s widow. Currently, the child resides with her mother. Interestingly, President Joe Biden has not publicly acknowledged the existence of his granddaughter in any of his statements as president.

Hunter Biden’s lawyer, Abbe Lowell, previously stated in May that Hunter was paying $20,000 per month in child support and had already paid a total of $750,000. However, the recent guilty plea by Hunter to three federal charges, including two misdemeanor tax crimes and one felony gun possession crime, has raised questions and confusion, particularly among House Republicans.
