Soros prosecutor won’t charge Cinco de Mayo shooting suspect.

Controversial Prosecutor Drops Charges in St. Louis Shooting

Kim Gardner, the top prosecutor in St. Louis, has once again made a controversial decision.

Gardner, who recently announced her resignation, has decided not to press charges against a woman allegedly involved in a shooting at a Cinco de Mayo festival. Amber Booker was arrested after the incident left two people shot, but Gardner’s office claims there is a “lack of evidence” to prosecute.

This decision is just the latest in a string of unpopular moves by Gardner, who has faced bipartisan calls for her removal. Both of her campaigns were funded by billionaire George Soros, known for supporting far-left prosecutors.

In February, a teenage volleyball player lost her legs after being hit by a car driven by a criminal on bond. The man had violated the terms of his bond several dozen times but was not held in custody. In April, Gardner’s office withheld evidence in a double homicide case, leading to the suspect being released on bail. And in March, a video emerged of a man executing a homeless man on a St. Louis street, leading to widespread criticism of Gardner’s handling of crime in the city.

Despite her resignation, Gardner claims that she has been targeted by outside forces seeking to undermine the rights of the city’s voters. An investigation by Fox News found that 35.8 percent of cases under Gardner’s supervision in 2020 were not prosecuted.

Gardner’s resignation comes as Soros-backed prosecutors face backlash across the country. San Francisco’s former prosecutor, Chesa Boudin, was ousted in a recall election amid rising crime in the city. House Republicans are also investigating Manhattan district attorney Alvin Bragg, who they claim is politically prosecuting former president Donald Trump while ignoring crime in the city.

It remains to be seen what impact Gardner’s controversial decisions will have on the city of St. Louis and its residents.
