During the event, DeSantis announced his candidacy for president, which caused a frenzy on social media. Despite initial scaling challenges, Twitter performed great, and the event was a massive success.

Journalist Ian Miles Cheong noted that the event was the highest ever, with over 701k concurrent listeners. Even Elon Musk confirmed this, retweeting a tweet that mentioned the number of users.
