Congressional Defense and Foreign Policy Forum Features North Korean Escapees

Defense Forum Foun hosted a Congressional Defense and Foreign Policy Forumdation March 14th at 12:00 p.m. Invites Three brave and inspirational women witnessed the escape from North Korea by being witnesses. Two of them fled North Korea recently to tell their stories in America for the first-time.

These are the three North Korean women:

• LEE Hyun Ae: Survivor of 50 days torture and detention to make phone calls to South Korea
• JI Myeong-Hui Survivor of North Korea’s political prison camps, and China’s detention centres
• HAN Song-Mi When her mother was able to raise enough money to pay brokers to help her escape North Korea, her mother rescued her from North Korea in 2011.
