Democrats’ Open Border Policies Will Import A Revolution
The article discusses ongoing protests and rising socialist influence in various countries, highlighting large-scale unrest in France and the United States as a sign of a legitimacy crisis. It asserts that movements like democratic socialism are explicitly revolutionary, aiming to overhaul American constitutional structures by calling for a new constitution, abolition of the Senate and Electoral College, and restructuring of the judiciary and executive branches under Congress. Historically, socialism has gained significant political traction in the U.S., surpassing its past presence, with prominent figures like Bernie Sanders securing millions of votes and socialists holding seats in government.
The piece emphasizes the left’s strategic approach, notably through immigration policies that favor mass illegal entry and legal privileges for noncitizens, gradually eroding national sovereignty and citizenship integrity. It warns that these efforts are part of a broader plan to replace capitalism and sovereignty with a globalist form of communism. The unrest and chaos are portrayed as deliberate tactics to facilitate this change. The author urges opponents to recognize and understand these interconnected strategies of the left and to unite in defeating them, framing the current struggle as a pivotal fight for the country’s future.
Protests raged at more than 1,200 French high schools in a single week, with arson, blockades, attacks, and clashes with police. This is not a student movement grown out of control, it is a legitimacy crisis in action.
In the U.S., the plan for a similar rejection of government authority metastasized from sporadic anti-ICE violence in the 2010s to the burning of police stations and major city blocks in 2020, the roadblocks by Gaza protesters in 2024, and the dramatic anti-federal uprising in Minneapolis in January 2026.
The plan to smuggle in a revolution is in full swing. That’s what democratic socialism is — an explicit revolution. The U.S. Constitution and democratic socialism cannot coexist, and yet an adherent of that alien form of government, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., is again considered a potential front-runner for the U.S. presidency in 2028. And People magazine is much friendlier to AOC than it ever was to Bernie Sanders.
About their aims, don’t believe me, believe their own program. The Democratic Socialists of America on its official website calls for a new constitution, abolition of the Senate and Electoral College, and replacement of the presidency and Supreme Court with an executive and judiciary chosen by and subordinate to Congress. This movement is growing and must be understood as a literal plan for revolution.
Socialist Strength in the U.S.
Many of us read in history books about the rise of socialism and communism in the U.S., beginning in the 19th century, but the movement is closer to political power today than its most famous American predecessors ever came. Socialist Party nominee Eugene V. Debs received roughly 900,000 votes nationwide in the 1912 presidential election. Bernie Sanders received 13.2 million in the 2016 Democratic nominating contest alone, nearly 15 times as many votes, while the voting-eligible population had grown by only about ninefold.
Members of this revolutionary party are firmly ensconced in our national legislature. A 2025 Cato/YouGov survey found that socialism’s favorable rating among Democrats was 17 percentage points higher than capitalism’s: 67 percent versus 50 percent.
In the United Kingdom and France, the evidence of the alliance between leftist parties and Islamist parties is going from anecdotal to obvious. In the U.S., it’s a broader calculation.
The Left’s Plan for Immigration
The American left is pursuing two changes to this country at once. First, mass illegal immigration changes the population, while the left demands — through obstruction of federal law enforcement, even to the point of violence against federal officers — that the resulting population be accepted as permanent. That alien population is the means through which democratic socialism, an entirely alien form of government, will be ushered into this country. These dual attacks on American sovereignty are now explicitly tied.
Let’s shorthand that tie as the Double Alien Maneuver. Understanding this is essential to understanding why increased mass importation is the main governing output of the Democrat Party. The left’s resistance goes beyond disagreeing over the pace of removals. Its preferred outcome is that millions of people admitted or remaining unlawfully become, in practice, impossible to remove. Absent mass deportation deployed at national scale, that outcome is inevitable.
Our opponents can assemble that outcome without Congress passing a sweeping amnesty. California issues driver’s licenses to illegal aliens. New York City, San Francisco, Washington, D.C., and several Maryland cities have passed laws allowing certain noncitizens to vote in local elections, though New York City’s was later struck down in court. Illinois allows illegal aliens to serve as armed police officers and even serve in county governments as deputy sheriffs. Yes, you read that right, in Illinois you might be arrested by an illegal alien.
American, your citizenship is being unbundled and sold for parts.
This preferential legal treatment threatens the unitary definition of citizenship that our political union requires. Preferences over time become expectations. Expectations harden into rights. The result is a parallel rights regime. Local officials then present the consequences of their own choices as facts the country has no choice but to accept. The purpose of a system is what it does.
It is disorienting to some that our opponents’ ambitions are so bold, and so crude, and that the tide is coming up so quickly. But, ultimately, what our opponents are revealing is that villainous and simplistic. The goal is what it always has been: to replace capitalism and national sovereignty with a globalist communism, which has been the communist goal ever since it began its plague on the world.
Understand the Strategy
The unrest is the point. It’s a necessary tool of socialists and communists and always has been. In America, the left is deploying this playbook at scale in a single concerted effort.
The mistake on the right is to treat each piece of this as a separate controversy. The right trots out the same old broadsides against socialism without connecting the two issues. It discusses immigration in the terminology of the previous decades or as a function of border security.
Business leaders continue to lobby the government to permit continued illegal immigration for economic reasons, not realizing that they are guaranteeing a socialism that will rob them, and more importantly, all of us.
The American left is smuggling in a political revolution. Name the strategy. Understand the strategy. Then defeat it.
Who we are is the fight.
