WATCH LIVE: DOJ briefs press on investigation of WHCA dinner shooter

The U.S. Department of Justice will hold a press conference on Monday regarding its investigation into a suspected shooter who disrupted the White House Correspondents’ Dinner. The alleged gunman, 31-year-old Cole Allen of California, was charged with three federal offenses at his arraignment two days after the incident, and his manifesto stated he believed he was obliged to target Trump administration officials.

After the suspect rushed past security, President Trump, cabinet members, and others were evacuated. Gunshots were reported from inside the Washington Hilton ballroom where the dinner took place. Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche, FBI Director Kash Patel, and U.S.Attorney Jeanine Pirro are scheduled to begin briefing the press at 3 p.m.Monday.
