VIDEO: Karine Jean-Pierre Dodges Question on Hunter Biden’s Gun Rights Plan.

White House Press Secretary Refuses to Comment on Hunter Biden’s Second Amendment Defense

Should drug users be allowed to possess firearms? This is the question that White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre refused to answer during a Friday press briefing. The question arose after reports that Hunter Biden’s lawyers may use a Second Amendment defense if he is charged for buying a handgun while using crack cocaine.

Biden is currently under investigation by the Justice Department for purchasing a handgun in 2018, a time when he admitted to frequently using crack cocaine. Federal law prohibits drug users from owning guns. However, Biden’s lawyers plan to argue that this prohibition is unconstitutional and that the Second Amendment protects his right to purchase a firearm.

Expanding Gun Restrictions and Bans

Jean-Pierre’s refusal to comment on the matter comes as the Biden administration pushes for expanded gun restrictions and bans. President Joe Biden has repeatedly called for a ban on “assault weapons,” and the administration has defended a law that prohibits medical marijuana users from acquiring guns.

In his memoir, Hunter Biden admitted to “smoking crack every 15 minutes” at the time of the gun purchase, but he claimed on the purchase form that he was not a drug user. The case has sparked a debate about the intersection of drug use and gun ownership.

Should Drug Users Be Allowed to Own Guns?

  • Some argue that drug users are more likely to engage in violent behavior and should not be allowed to own guns.
  • Others believe that drug use should not automatically disqualify someone from exercising their Second Amendment rights.
  • The case of Hunter Biden raises important questions about the balance between public safety and individual rights.

As the investigation continues, the debate over drug use and gun ownership is sure to continue as well.
