Can Biden Help Unite America?

President-elect Joe Biden made a call to all Americans for unity.
The reaction was anything but positive.
Even before Trump’s inauguration, Biden help start one of the greatest hoaxes of modern political history with his idea of using the Logan Act. They soon took down Trump’s National Security Advisor, a former Lieutenant-General.
The incredible charges of Russia Collusion and the Dossier claiming Trump was an agent of Russia were relentless, ruthless, and irreconcilable. This went on for nearly Trump’s entire term in office.
With the media as the bullhorn, there was a continuous stream of criminal claims: obstruction, including but not limited to the firing of Comey, tax evasion, emoluments violations, treason, the IG report by Horowitz, Mueller’s Report, the disgraceful Kavanaugh hearings, Avenatti’s insanity, followed by the Ukraine telephone call and the Impeachment for obstruction and abuse of Congress.
All of this was for naught, wasting millions of dollars, precious time, and opportunities.
In early 2020, while Congress was pushing the impeachment, a horrendous virus was seeping into our country and they called Trump all kinds of names such as xenophobic, racist, and worse when he moved to defend against the Corona Virus.
Then the little-known left, liberal organizations of BLM and ANTIFA emerged on a national scale and peaceful protests suddenly turned violent in dozens of cities and causing between $1-2 Billion in damage and loss of life.
As a result, Trump voters are not in an exactly forgiving mood.
The election saw Trump flying all over the country doing as many as three rallies in three states in a day, week after week. His schedule was exhausting.
At the same time, Biden quietly stayed hunkered down in his basement with little effort or concern and conducted little or no press conferences.
Who does that?
Well, Biden does by leveraging much hyperbolic vitriol against Trump and goes on to win.
For Trump supporters, it is obvious – the suspicion that the election was rigged is strong. Nevertheless, now the call is for “unity”. Forget the past, focus on the future. Be nice.
74 million Trump voters aren’t buying it.
Asking for unity in the face of all this will not be easy.
To convince them, sincere moves must be made by Biden, assuming the Senate stays in Republican control.
First, he cannot create a hyper-progressive, socialist-oriented administration. Just as Democrats demanded Trump reject White Supremacist groups, Biden must reject radical leftists in BLM and
ANTIFA. Many feel they are largely responsible for the looting, arson, mayhem, and the movement to defund police.
Second, Biden needs to show caution about continued out-of-control spending creating a national debt at levels that are nothing short of breathtaking.
Third, he must show respect for some of the effective actions taken by Trump that demonstrated success by not strangling business with regulations, requiring border protection, making other countries pay their fair share, and assessing the positive steps taken to enable peace in the Middle East.
Fourth, we all know he is going to raise taxes but if he starts hitting the middle class with hidden, higher taxes, then his credibility will be lost. Does anyone really believe the starting level of $400,000 annual income will not be lowered?
Fifth, we cannot have a nationwide lockdown to fight the virus. Many believe that such lockdowns are not effective. The virus hits the vulnerable and this is where we need to focus protective efforts. Thank goodness for “Warp Speed” and vaccines. Biden would do well to congratulate Trump on the success of his program and the miracle that was created in 9 months.
Sixth, disrespecting the Constitution as written by acting against gun ownership will cause major conflict. This is very much like abortion. Try to force it and you invite massive negative response.
Seventh, China has proven to be on a path to global hegemony. Biden must not forgive China or compromise America’s interests to the benefit of China. For more than a decade China has taken advantage of us via the TPP, WTO, and other agreements resulting in lost jobs, lost factories, and mounting debt.
Now, if the Senate is controlled by the Democrats, along with the House and Presidency, then all bets are off. Radicals have said the Democrats will take measures to ensure we become a one-party political system.
This is done by packing the Supreme Court, making Washington DC and Puerto Rico our new States, spreading the use of ballot harvesting to rig elections and passing new laws taxing guns, restricting free speech, enabling high tech companies like Google, Microsoft, Apple, Facebook, and others to restrict conservative expression, and removing barriers to all migrants at our borders.
Unfortunately, many Democrats have no idea about these plans and for those who do, they simply don’t believe the Radicals will succeed at making them happen.
That would be the nightmare scenario. Specifically, it could lead to civil war.
So much for our journey on the road to a more perfect union.
