VIDEO: Watch What Keeps Happening to Conservative Speakers at Elite Colleges

Conservative speakers continue to face disruptions and protests at universities across the United States. The most recent incident occurred at Stanford Law School, where students interrupted federal district court judge Kyle Duncan’s talk. Conservative news outlet Free Beacon has compiled a list of recent examples:

  • Protesters disrupted Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk’s event at the University of California Davis, vandalizing statues and attempting to pepper-spray attendees.
  • Student activists shouted down federal district court judge Kyle Duncan at Stanford Law School.
  • Protesters attempted to block people from entering a Charlie Kirk event at the University of New Mexico.
  • Protesters shouted down a bipartisan event on free speech at Yale Law School, with one student threatening physical violence against a Federalist Society member.
  • Constitutional scholar Ilya Shapiro was shouted down for 45 minutes at the University of California Hastings, College of the Law.
  • Protesters blocked an intersection outside an event featuring Daily Wire commentator Matt Walsh at Saint Louis University.
  • Political commentator Michael Knowles was repeatedly interrupted by protesters yelling obscenities during a lecture at the University of Missouri-Kansas City.

While some universities have condemned the disturbances, others have not pursued formal consequences against the disruptors. Republican lawmakers in Missouri even called for the resignation of a university chancellor who praised “peaceful protesters” after a violent incident. Free Beacon argues that universities should uphold free speech and promote a respectful exchange of ideas.
