US Mint to produce limited-edition July 4 quarters for America 250
The United States Mint is releasing a limited-edition series of quarters in 2026 to commemorate America’s 250th anniversary.This special set includes 250,000 Declaration of Independence quarters featuring a unique “July 4th” privy mark, which will be randomly distributed into circulation alongside other 2026 Declaration of Independence quarters. The design showcases Thomas jefferson and the Liberty Bell, with inscriptions such as “E PLURIBUS UNUM,” “IN GOD WE TRUST,” and the years “1776 ~ 2026.” The reverse depicts the cracked Liberty Bell and includes phrases like “THE DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE,” “QUARTER DOLLAR,” “LIBERTY,” and “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.” These coins offer Americans a chance to discover a piece of history in everyday transactions, celebrating the nation’s history and independence.
The United States Mint is celebrating America 250 with a limited-edition tribute to its history with a new line of quarters for the semiquincentennial.
To celebrate, 250,000 Declaration of Independence quarters featuring a special “July 4th” privy mark will be produced. They will not feature a mint mark.
