Trump believes Harris would make a superior president to Biden
Trump: Harris Would Make a Better President than Biden
Republican 2024 presidential front-runner Donald Trump boldly stated on Friday that Vice President Kamala Harris would outperform her boss, Joe Biden, as president, emphasizing that no one could be worse than the current leader.
Trump expressed his belief that voting for Biden is essentially voting for Harris, highlighting concerns about the president’s age and mental sharpness heading into 2024. This places immense pressure on the vice president if Biden were to secure another four-year term.
Democrats Divided on Impact of Colorado Ballot Ruling in 2024
“It seems like he’s locked into her for a lot of reasons. He has to choose her. I understand,” Trump shared with conservative radio host Hugh Hewitt. “It would seem like the Democrats, if he doesn’t run, have to run her. That’s what all of the professionals like you are saying. I’m not sure that that’s correct, but that’s what they’re saying. Yeah, you’re locked into her. And she might be, I can’t say worse. I think she’d be better than him, actually. I actually think that. I don’t think you can have worse than him.”
While Biden maintains his lead among Democratic contenders in polls, doubts linger within the party about whether he will withdraw from the race before the election. On the other hand, Trump firmly holds the lead for the Republican nomination, followed by Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) and former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley.
Trump also revealed to Hewitt that he would consider debating one of his GOP rivals if there was a slight polling gap between them following the New Hampshire primary next month. Despite skipping all four Republican debates organized by the Republican National Committee, citing his significant lead, the former president stated that he would participate in general election debates if he secures the party’s nomination. He did, however, criticize the Commission on Presidential Debates, which hosts the debates, as being “Democrat-leaning” and corrupt.

“They are totally corrupt, and they’re terrible,” Trump exclaimed. “With that being said, I would do 20 debates, even if it was organized by them. I’ll do as many debates as they want. I’d do a debate every night with [Biden]. But he’ll never show up to a debate.”
Trump’s remarks about Harris mirror a similar comment he made to former Fox News host Tucker Carlson last August, where he asserted that Harris’s “bad moments” are nearly as severe as Biden’s, but the president’s moments are still worse.
How has the division within the Democratic Party regarding Kamala Harris influenced her ability to prove herself as a strong and capable leader
E commentator Dan Bongino during a recent interview. “But I would say this: the one person that is different is her (Harris). She’s a woman, and he’s no longer a woman. He’s different. I don’t know how he would do with her running. I just don’t know.”
Trump’s remarks highlight the growing rift within the Democratic Party regarding the potential impact of Vice President Kamala Harris, should she take on a more prominent role in the future. While some Democrats view Harris as a strong and capable leader who could bring fresh perspectives to the presidency, others have expressed skepticism and concerns about her ability to effectively govern.
One key issue that Trump alludes to is President Biden’s age and mental sharpness. At 82 years old, Biden would be the oldest president elected to office if he were to secure another term in 2024. This raises valid concerns among Democrats and Republicans alike about his ability to effectively lead the nation for another four years. Trump’s suggestion that voting for Biden essentially means voting for Harris underscores the doubts surrounding Biden’s capability to lead and govern independently.
However, Trump’s endorsement of Harris as a potentially better president than Biden should not be seen as an endorsement of her policies or ideology. Trump is known for his combative and controversial leadership style, and his remarks may be seen as an attempt to sow division and skepticism within the Democratic Party rather than a genuine endorsement of Harris as a potential future president.
The division within the Democratic Party regarding Harris is not surprising, as she has faced criticism from both the left and the right throughout her political career. Progressives have been critical of her prosecutorial record as Attorney General of California, citing concerns about her stance on criminal justice issues. On the other hand, Republicans have been critical of her liberal policy positions and her role as a vocal advocate for progressive policies within the Biden administration.
It remains to be seen how Harris will navigate these divisions within her own party and prove herself as a strong and capable leader. While Trump’s endorsement may carry weight among Republicans, it is ultimately up to the American people to decide who they believe would make the best president in 2024.
As the political landscape continues to evolve, it is crucial for voters to critically evaluate the candidates and their policies, rather than relying solely on endorsements or party affiliations. The future of the nation depends on the informed decisions made by its citizens, and the 2024 presidential election will undoubtedly play a crucial role in shaping the path forward for the United States.
In the end, whether Harris would make a better president than Biden is a question that can only be answered by time. Until then, the American people must remain vigilant in their assessment of political leaders and actively participate in the democratic process to ensure the continued success and prosperity of the nation.
