Hunter Biden Special Counsel: A Farce, Yet Joe Faces Major Consequences.

Back to the Drawing Board:⁣ The Ongoing Biden Brand Scandal

It’s back to the drawing board in⁤ the Department ​of Justice’s ongoing obfuscation and cover-up of the Biden Brand influence peddling scandal‌ that is now threatening not just Joe Biden’s electoral ⁢chances, but ‌his‌ presidency itself.

The‍ mendacity of Attorney General Merrick Garland’s latest move, finally appointing Delaware U.S. Attorney David Weiss as⁤ special counsel into the investigation of Hunter Biden, is both myriad⁢ and shocking.

Let’s start with Weiss himself, this is the same prosecutor who authored ‍the sweetheart plea deal that nearly put this scandal in the rearview mirror of the⁣ White House for good, ⁣with its⁣ watered down misdemeanors and uncharged crimes.

But even worse than the⁤ lackluster charges themselves was the absurdly broad immunity to future prosecution that the deal offered,⁤ had Judge Maryellen Noreika not‌ smelled a rat and quashed the bargain, Hunter Biden would ⁣have been permanently in the clear for almost ⁣all of his duplicitous dealings.

Prosecutors‌ claim that they never ⁣intended to grant such⁤ sweeping immunity, but as Hunter’s lawyer Abbe Lowell put it in on ​Sunday,⁣ no experienced defense team would allow⁣ their client ⁢to plead guilty to a misdemeanor ‍on a Monday when they knew a felony charge ⁣was⁢ coming on⁤ Wednesday.

Let us also note that Weiss has already allowed the statute‍ of limitations run out ‍on potential tax charges​ against Hunter from 2014-2015 and now runs the risk ‍of ​doing ‌the same thing with Biden scion’s pending⁣ gun charge.

Flailing Biden defenders⁣ are clinging to the technically true point that Weiss⁤ was a Trump⁢ appointee, but as Sen.Ted ⁢Cruz put⁢ it, Weiss “was personally selected⁤ by the two Democrat senators from Delaware, Tom Carper and Chris Coons. For five years, the investigation has gone nowhere other than to protect Hunter Biden and Joe Biden.”

Where is the lie?

And somehow, it only gets worse,​ not only has Garland let the fox run the henhouse⁢ in⁤ choosing Weiss, ‍the‌ ongoing nature of the investigation is clearly a tool that will be⁣ used to stonewall congressional investigations.

House ‌Oversight Committee ⁢Investigation

Rep. James Comer’s House Oversight Committee‍ investigation, in a mere ⁣seven months, has produced whistleblowers alleging special treatment, Hunter associate Devon Archer ​confirming ‌that influence was being sold, and⁢ a cavalcade of bank‍ records ⁣to the‌ tune of $20 million foreign bucks in Biden bank accounts.

Both ‌Garland and Weiss were set to testify before Congress in the fall to address the whistleblower allegations, but now the stage is set for these so-called Justice ⁤officials to gravely shake their heads and intone, “I cannot‍ comment on an⁢ active investigation.”

It’s not​ good enough, and it also contradicts claims from Garland that Weiss ‌had total charging authority,​ in any jurisdiction, if that was‍ the case, then why would⁤ Weiss ⁣ask ⁢to be made special counsel?

Why⁤ would he ask for authority he supposedly already had, why does he need it in writing ⁣now, instead ​of just from the lips ‌of Merrick Garland?

If you are starting to get the sense that this whole investigation stinks to high⁣ heaven then that is precisely because it does,⁢ and the coverup would have worked too, if it wasn’t ⁢for those pesky whistleblowers.

Congressional Democrats did⁤ all‍ they could to demonize the brave men who stepped forward ⁣to ‍testify, under penalty of‍ perjury, ​about how the‌ DOJ was ⁢protecting Hunter⁢ and Joe Biden,‌ clearly they ⁢deserve an apology — equally clearly, they won’t get one.

This scandal and the shambolic probe into it​ are fast growing into ⁣one of the darkest clouds to​ ever hang ‌over a president of the ‌United States, but if there’s a silver lining to it, it is that‌ congressional Republicans have no intention⁣ of ⁣letting up.

Uncovering the Truth

Already today, based solely⁣ on⁤ what the committee⁣ has uncovered so far, we know ⁤that Hunter ⁣Biden was selling access ‍and ​influence, this isn’t in dispute anymore, even Biden sycophant Rep. Dan Goldman ⁢says the “illusion of influence” was up for sale.

Already we know that Joe Biden was actively involved in the influence​ peddling ​scheme with his phone⁤ calls and dinners with Hunter’s crooked crowd.

Either Joe was a willing participant or a dupe having his chain yanked by ‌his drug addict son.

Pressure is mounting for ​House Speaker Kevin ⁣McCarthy to announce an impeachment inquiry, ​and this latest move by the DOJ to continue smothering the scandal will only bring⁢ that pressure to​ a bursting point.

Even without cooperation from a Justice Department that has ⁣dragged its feet on every ⁣document ⁤the committee wants to see an ocean​ of ⁢damming material has been unearthed, that⁢ isn’t going to stop.

What a difference a month makes, Joe Biden ⁢and his family brand ⁣were‌ minutes away from​ getting away with‍ it all, more or less scot-free in that Delaware courthouse, now they are reaping the whirlwind.

How long before Democrats start⁣ falling​ out of⁣ line, how long before they ​grow ‌a spine, say enough ⁣is enough and demand that their⁤ party’s leader explain his behavior, behavior which⁤ even the Washington Post editorial board now says was “not spotless”?

Just when the president thought he was out of all this, they sucked him back in, and a sandbagging Department ‍of Justice isn’t getting him off‍ the hook this⁣ time.

Congress and the American people will not go gentle into Merrick Garland’s​ dark night⁤ of endless investigation, the truth is coming to light, and there is nothing Joe Biden can do to stop it.
