Taylor Swift Cavorts With Transgender Model Laith Ashley In New ‘Lavender Haze’ Video
The new Taylor Swift Music video just dropped transgender-identifying model Laith Ashley as Swift’s love interest.
The eagerly awaited Music video For “Lavender Haze” The video shows the Grammy Award-winning singer in a new relationship with a purple background. Swift directed the video. It shows Ashley as Swift in the main role, while Swift and Ashley cuddle at a party.
“The ‘Lavender Haze’ video is out now. There is lots of lavender. There is lots of haze,” Swift Share Twitter teaser clip posted Friday morning.
“There is my incredible costar @laith_ashley who I absolutely adored working with. This was the first video I wrote out of the 3 that have been released,” She went on. “This one really helped me conceptualize the world and mood of Midnights, like a sultry sleepless 70’s fever dream. Hope you like it.”

“Lavender Haze” is the third song off Swift’s very successful Midnights album to get a music video following videos for “Anti-Hero” “Bejeweled.” The singer suggested that more would be coming in the future.
Ashley, 33, is a well-known figure in the industry and has a flourishing modeling career. The 33-yearold has Pose Diesel and Calvin Klein. Ashley also appeared on the covers of Out magazine, Gay Times and Vogue France. Ashley also appeared on Caitlyn Jenner’s reality show “I Am Cait” The series was regular on in 2016 “Strut,” A short-lived series of Oxygen after the Slay trans modeling agency.
Ashley was also seen in other music videos, as well as on television. “RuPaul’s Drag Race Pit Crew,” “Pose,” “Unconventional.”
Swift’s inclusion of a transgender-identifying person in the music video is part of a larger trend in Hollywood and the media to increase trans representation. Burberry recently featured what appeared to be a transgender person in a fashion ad on Instagram.
Hollywood has promoted the inclusion of trans-identifying stars by using their inclusion in movies and TV as a badge o honor.
