Crime Spree Across Northern California Leaves Three Dead and Several Injured

A suspect has been arrested after a deadly rampage across northern California that left three people dead and at least three others injured, two of whom have life-threatening injuries.

The hourslong crime spree began in San Jose in the afternoon and continued into Milpitas. The suspect is accused of stabbing pedestrians and driving into others with a stolen vehicle.

Stabbing Attacks in San Jose

San Jose police reported two separate stabbing attacks that occurred within minutes of each other at about 3 p.m. Pacific time. Officers arrived at the first location and found a victim with life-threatening injuries. They were then called to a second location, where a second victim had life-threatening injuries after being stabbed and having their car stolen.

As the suspect drove away in the stolen vehicle, they hit a pedestrian. That victim’s injuries were not life-threatening, according to police. Shortly after, the suspect, still driving the stolen vehicle, struck and killed two adult pedestrians, police said, according to local outlet ABC7.

Arrest in Milpitas

At about 4:30 p.m., in Milpitas, a deadly stabbing occurred, and police in the city announced that they had arrested a suspect, finding them “hiding in a residential neighborhood close to where the stabbing occurred.” The two police forces were quick to communicate and tell the public that they believe the cases may be related.

The investigations are still in their early stages. Milpitas police told the public that there is no longer any threat to the community.
