Smithsonian Museum Kicks Out Pro-Life Catholic Students

It was all about the blue hats. After participating in the annual March for Life, a group of Catholic school students visited Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum. A pro-life message prompted them to remove their hats.

The message was on the hats “Rosary Pro-life” These hats were used for identification. All the students in the group wore identical hats, which were used to identify them. The group members were identified and kept together by their blue hats. For school groups, it is not uncommon to use one piece of clothing. While most people use the same tshirts, hats can also be used. It’s winter and the hats look to be knit hats commonly worn in cold weather.

Student Patrick Murphy and American Center for Law and Justice’s Jordan Sekulow were interviewed by Fox’s Sean Hannity. Patrick He told his story. He claimed that two black women approached students. They were believed to be security personnel.

“They (said), ‘All people wearing a pro-life hat, take it off’,” Murphy, “and immediately we’re confused.”

The group was led by a student who told the women what the blue hats meant. “Rosary Pro-life” They were used to identify the group, but the women blew them away.

Murphy claimed that a man approached them after they left the museum. He said he had received reports that the group refused to remove their hats. Murphy stood by his Constitutional rights after a student reminded Murphy that the hats were used in identifying the group.

“I said, ‘This is a violation of our First Amendment right. This is a government-funded building. How are we paying for this with our taxes and I’m not allowed to wear this hat?’,” Fox News interviewed him.

Pro-lifers were “blown away” when the man said it was a neutral zone and their rights didn’t apply.

“We had almost no words,” Fox News was informed by the student.

I have questions. Why didn’t the two women dressed in black identify themselves if they were employees of the museum? Where were the adult chaperones who accompanied these women? Why didn’t a chaperone deal with these adults? What the hell is a neutral zone where constitutional rights don’t apply?

The treatment they received from the black women may have rendered them speechless, but they were smart enough to point out that the museum is funded by taxpayers. Although they may not have to pay federal taxes, their parents do. To catch their bus, the students had to leave the building. They did this without making a scene or using rude language.

It’s a strange story but we’ve heard strange stories before when it comes to religious discrimination. The woke left is not tolerating religious freedom. It is very easy to say. “Rosary Pro-life”This was enough to make these women agitated. The students, who appear to be in high school, have not been reported as misbehaving. The Smithsonian may recall the story of the Covington Catholic School students, who were bullied after attending the March of Life 2019. Because the museum offered an explanation, it is likely that upper management does.

Jordan Sekulow stated that legal action is possible “imminent.” According to the Smithsonian, employees were trained after the incident. Sekulow would love to find out what training was given to employees before the incident. He promised that they would get to the bottom and fight back.

This looks like an open and closed case from what I’ve seen. The museum admitted that its policy wasn’t followed. To identify themselves as members of a group, the students wore knit caps. The text on the caps wasn’t threatening or obnoxious. There was no one shouting. “fire” In a movie theater. They did not do anything wrong. They should be reprimanded.
