Several people killed in shooting at fast food restaurant in Twin Falls, Idaho

Several people where killed and others injured in a shooting near an In-N-Out restaurant in Twin falls, idaho, on Saturday afternoon. Teh incident occurred before 2:30 p.m.,with the shooter opening fire on multiple individuals; the shooter is among the deceased. Law enforcement officials are currently interviewing witnesses, and no suspect has been identified yet. The exact number of fatalities is still being determined as authorities work with medical and coroner’s officials. The FBI is assisting with the examination, and nearby roads have been closed as part of the emergency response. Twin Falls is located about two hours from Boise. Several people were killed on Saturday afternoon in a shooting in Twin Falls, Idaho, near an In-N-Out restaurant, according to local authorities.

Shorting before 2:30 p.m. local time, a shooter opened fire on several people, killing multiple and leaving others injured, according to CBS News. The shooter is among the dead, Twin Falls Police Chief Matthew Hicks told reporters at a news conference held Saturday night.

In videos obtained by the outlet, people can be seen fleeing a shopping center parking lot as gunshots ring out. Hicks said law enforcement is interviewing the “literally hundreds of people that were in some way, shape, or form in the area” of the restaurant at the time of the shooting. No suspect has been identified.

“I don’t have the exact number confirmed,” Hicks said in the press conference, referring to the number of fatalities. “We’re still trying to make notifications to their next-of-kin. We’re trying to work with St. Luke’s [Magic Valley Medical Center] and our coroner’s office to ascertain the exact numbers of fatalities. We also have a number of people being treated for injuries at our local hospital here.”

An FBI spokesperson told the outlet the agency is assisting with the investigation. Police shut down nearby roads and a bridge as part of the emergency response.

Twin Falls, a medium-sized city in the southern part of the state, is about a two-hour drive from Boise.
