Erie mass shooting leaves nine dead, governor says
Nine individuals lost their lives in Erie, Pennsylvania, following a shooting incident on Friday. A gunman opened fire on Perry Street around 5 p.m.,with witnesses reporting seeing the suspect firing before entering a residence. Among the victims were two children and two women found deceased on the street and inside the home. The suspect was also discovered dead from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro confirmed the tragic deaths.

Two children appeared to be among those killed in a mass shooting after witnesses reported seeing a man firing a gun before he entered a home on Perry Street around 5 p.m. on Friday. Two women were found dead in the street, and more victims were found dead inside the home, according to CBS News, with police saying the suspect was also found dead with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.
