Rep. Rosendale’s pivotal role in Biden’s impeachment and Trump’s un-impeachment.
Republican Rep. Matt Rosendale of Montana Supports Impeaching President Joe Biden and Expunging Trump Impeachments
According to a new report, Republican Rep. Matt Rosendale of Montana is now backing the effort to impeach President Joe Biden. In addition, Rosendale is also supporting a plan to formally expunge the impeachments of former President Donald Trump from the records of the House.
Rosendale’s adviser, Ashka Varma, confirmed his support for both of these efforts, stating, “Rep. Rosendale supports both of these efforts,” as reported by Breitbart.

Rosendale’s support aligns him with other Republican representatives, including Lauren Boebert of Colorado, Elise Stefanik of New York, and Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia, who are leading the impeachment expungement effort. However, Greene’s recent expulsion from the House Freedom Caucus may impact the legislation she supports.
It is worth noting that Rosendale’s actions come as Republicans are positioning themselves for the 2024 contest to unseat Democratic Sen. Jon Tester of Montana. Rosendale, who previously suffered a defeat in 2018, has announced his intention to run again, as reported by Politico.
Reflecting the ongoing political battles, Rosendale emphasized that the race will be decided “by the people across Montana, not Mitch McConnell.”
Republican Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas praised Rosendale as a “terrific candidate,” while Republican Sen. Mike Lee of Utah expressed the need for him in the Senate.
According to Breitbart, Tim Sheehy, a businessman and former Navy SEAL, is also seeking the GOP nomination for the Montana Senate race and has garnered support from National Republican Senatorial Committee Chairman Sen. Steve Daines, Rep. Ryan Zinke of Montana, and Montana Gov. Greg Gianforte.
Looking ahead to 2024, House Republicans have returned from the July 4th recess with a new strategy to target the Biden administration, known as the Holman rule, as reported by Newsweek.
Any Republican who has said or even written “Drain the Swamp” must be ready and willing to cut funding, use impeachment, and use the Holman rule.

The Holman rule allows Congress to eliminate the salaries of top Biden officials, which some Republicans believe could be an effective approach given the disagreements within the GOP over impeachment.
Republican Rep. Ken Buck of Colorado suggested, “If we’ve got a problem, a policy difference — not high crimes and misdemeanors — with Secretary Mayorkas, the proper procedure is to cut his salary in the appropriations process,” as reported by Politico.
