Despite the efforts of medical professionals at Ankara Bilkent City Hospital, Bitmez could not be saved and passed away at 11:50. Health Minister Dr. Fahrettin Koca expressed his condolences to Bitmez’s family and the Saadet Party, offering prayers for his soul.

According to Reuters, Bitmez’s two main cardiac blood vessels were completely blocked. Although his heart had stopped during the speech, he was resuscitated before being taken to the hospital.
He died while giving a speech in support of Gaza and Palestine.
