Nancy Pelosi endorses women priests in defiance of pope: ‘That is real power’

Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) expressed hope that one day the Catholic Church would permit women priests, saying the ability to change bread and wine into the body and blood of Jesus Christ is “real power.”

Catholic Pelosi made the remarks during a discussion with Rev. last week while speaking at an affair at Georgetown University. The Georgetown University Center on Faith and Justice’s chairman is Jim Wallis. She expressed sorrow that Pope Francis had never allowed the ceremonies of ladies to the Catholic church during the conversation, saying that she had been” attracted” by the idea of being a priest because of the authority of administrative work.

Pope SAYS PRIESTS WOULD PREFER TO GO TO Detention IF STATE REQUIRES Confess SEAL VIOLATION.

I was more drawn to being a priest because, according to her,” priests have the ability to transform bread and wine into the body and blood of Christ, which is true power now that we’re talking about force.” It’s something to consider, something I was hoping the pope had will, that perhaps ladies will be able to do that as well.

Since Jesus chose 12 female followers, the Catholic Church has prohibited the ordination of women as priests for the remainder of its 2, 000-year history. That training has received numerous confirmations from current popes.

The papal charter Ordinatio Sacerdotalis, which reiterated the long-held belief that women could not be ordained to the Christian priest” in order that all doubt may be removed ,” was issued by Pope John Paul II in 1994.

The slow pope wrote,” I declare that the Church has absolutely no authority to grant women priestly priesthood, and that this decision must be unanimously upheld by all Church honest.”

Pope Francis reaffirmed the church long-standing doctrine next year, telling America Magazine in a November meeting that ordaining female presented” a religious problem.”

Why is it forbidden for a person to undergo ordained department? Pope Francis attributed the government of monks to the apostle Peter, whom Catholics regard as the first bishop, and said,” It is because the Petrine theory has no place for that.”

Pelosi has a background of disagreements with the Catholic Church’s order. She criticized San Francisco Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone for formally declaring that she would be prohibited from receiving communion because of her position on abortion at the same Georgetown affair.

Pelosi stated,” I have a problem with my pope, and I believe that’s his situation, not mine.” He made it abundantly clear that perhaps not all of us are God’s kids. Perhaps we lack a complimentary might.
