Most voters, including half of Democrats, think Biden is too old for presidency.

A New Poll Reveals Concerns Over President Biden’s Age

A recent poll conducted by JL Partners/DailyMail.com has shed light on the widespread concern regarding President Joe Biden’s age as he seeks a second term in the White House. The findings indicate that 7 in 10 respondents believe he is too old to be president, including half of Democrats.

Key Findings from the Poll:

  • 49% of Democrats expressed the opinion that Biden is too old to be president.
  • 28% believed he is the right age.
  • 23% were unsure about his suitability.

Furthermore, the poll revealed that a significant majority of likely general election voters, 71%, share the belief that Biden is too old to be president. It is worth noting that if reelected, Biden would be 86 years old at the end of his second term.

The concern over Biden’s age is not limited to party lines. The poll found that 94% of Republicans and 71% of independents also consider him too old for the role. Comparatively, former President Donald Trump, who is expected to challenge Biden in 2024, is only slightly younger at 76.

Interestingly, when voters were asked to describe Trump in one word, the most common response was “criminal,” while Biden was often described as “old.”

It is evident that concerns about Biden’s age will play a significant role in the upcoming election. A recent viral video of Biden tripping over a sandbag at the Air Force Academy commencement further fueled these concerns.

The survey conducted by JL Partners included responses from 1,000 likely general election voters between June 12-15. The margin of error was plus or minus 3.1 percentage points. Based on the poll results, if the general election were held tomorrow, Biden would narrowly hold on to the White House.
