Veteran Democrat Politician and Activist Switches to GOP: ‘I’m Done’

Longtime Democratic Politician and Activist Announces Switch to Republican Party: ‘I’ve Had Enough’

In a stunning move, Dov Hikind, a longtime Brooklyn Democratic politician and activist, has officially left the Democratic Party and joined the ⁢Republican Party. Hikind,‌ who⁣ represented his Brooklyn neighborhood ⁣for ‍36 years in the New York State Assembly and⁢ founded Americans ‌Against Antisemitism,⁣ made the ‍announcement ⁣in a video posted on ‍Twitter.

Hikind expressed his delight in joining the ⁣Republican Party, ‌citing the radicalization of the Democratic Party as the reason for his ⁣departure. He ⁢emphasized that moderates and ⁤conservatives are no longer welcome in ⁢the ‍Democratic Party, which has‍ turned‌ its back on Jews and Israel. ⁤Hikind’s decision serves ⁣as a powerful message⁢ to both the Biden administration and ⁢the Democratic Party.

As a staunch supporter of Israel, Hikind has been disheartened by the‌ anti-Israel rhetoric coming from Democrats. He criticized the Biden⁣ administration‌ for its policies that have further strained the relationship with Israel. Recent‌ incidents, such as⁣ Democratic Rep. Pramila Jayapal calling Israel a “racist state” and Rep. Ilhan ⁤Omar ‍leading a ‌boycott of ⁤President Isaac Herzog’s address to Congress, have only ⁢reinforced Hikind’s disillusionment with the Democratic Party.

Shani Hikind, Dov’s wife, expressed her support for the party switch, stating that the Democratic Party no⁢ longer represents their interests and values.⁣ She criticized the party for⁢ losing‌ touch with‌ the American people and failing to uphold the Democratic Party‍ that her parents ⁢were proud of.

According to Fox‌ News, over one million Americans have switched their⁢ party affiliation from Democrat to Republican in‌ the past year. Hikind,‍ known ‍for his advocacy ‌against ‍the ⁤persecution of the Jewish people, believes that ‍the current state of affairs is worse than ever. ‌He criticized the media for not addressing the source of hate and instead focusing on‌ unrelated issues⁣ like white supremacy.

It is clear that Hikind’s decision to switch‌ parties is a significant statement against the Democratic Party and its handling‍ of ‍key ‌issues. As more Americans make similar moves, the political ‌landscape continues to shift.
