Per The Daily Mail, the duo seems to be doing a photo shoot for Haus Labs, Lady Gaga’s cosmetic brand, and the pharmaceutical company Clinuvel.
The comments were flooded with followers annoyed that a man was being featured on a day devoted to women.
- “Isn’t womens day for women? Lol just another case of some.. creep male trying to take one more thing from women,” one commenter shared on Instagram.
- “This is so degrading to REAL women,” a second account commented.
- “Why’s Dylan representing. He’s ‘NOT’ a woman. What an insult to us ‘REAL’ women. Quit invading our territory,” a third agreed.
Lady Gaga, whose real name is Stefani Germanotta, has been an outspoken advocate for LGBTQ people for years. During a 2017 interview with Out Magazine, she said, “When I started in the mainstream it was the gays that lifted me up. I committed myself to them and they committed themselves to me, and because of the gay community I’m where I am today.”
“I very much want to inject gay culture into the mainstream,” the “Bad Romance” singer added. “It’s not an underground tool for me. It’s my whole life. So I always sort of joke the real motivation is to just turn the world gay.”
Mulvaney, meanwhile, became famous after creating the TikTok series “Days of Girlhood” to document his “transition” from a man to a woman.

How does the inclusion of a trans activist on International Women’s Day align with the principles of inclusivity and intersectionality within feminism?
St another example of men trying to make everything about themselves,” one user wrote.
Lady Gaga has been a vocal advocate for the LGBTQ+ community throughout her career and has often used her platform to raise awareness and show support for the community. However, her decision to feature a trans activist on International Women’s Day has sparked controversy and led to accusations of erasing the experiences and struggles of cisgender women. Supporters argue that inclusivity and intersectionality are important aspects of feminism, and that celebrating the achievements and contributions of trans women is a way to promote equality for all women. They argue that International Women’s Day should not only be limited to cisgender women, but should also acknowledge the experiences and challenges faced by transgender women. On the other hand, critics argue that International Women’s Day should solely focus on celebrating the accomplishments and struggles of cisgender women, as they have historically been marginalized and oppressed in society. They view the inclusion of a trans activist as detracting from the purpose of the day and argue that it takes attention away from the specific needs and issues faced by cisgender women. This controversy highlights the ongoing debates within feminism over the inclusion and recognition of transgender individuals. While Lady Gaga’s intention may have been to show support and raise awareness for the transgender community, it has sparked a larger conversation about the meaning and scope of International Women’s Day. As feminism continues to evolve and address issues of intersectionality, it is important to engage in dialogue and consider differing perspectives in order to create a more inclusive and equal society for all women. Ultimately, the question remains: should International Women’s Day be solely focused on cisgender women, or should it also embrace and celebrate the experiences of transgender women? This is a complex issue that requires thoughtful consideration and ongoing discussions within the feminist movement.
