Target Donates to Radical Group Pushing to Demolish Mount Rushmore
Retail giant Target has once again made headlines for its support of radical left-wing groups, including a South Dakota-based organization called NDN Collective. According to Fox News, NDN Collective has called for the demolition of Mount Rushmore, claiming that the national monument is a symbol of white supremacy. Target has donated tens of thousands of dollars to this group, which also advocates for the race-based Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion agenda.

NDN Collective operates with a “racial equity lens” and is “dedicated to building indigenous power [t]hrough organizing, activism, philanthropy, grantmaking … and narrative change.” The group also supports transgenderism and works to “liberate” oppressed special interest groups. Its “LANDBACK” program aims to force the U.S. to return all national parks to Native Americans because they are on “stolen lands.”
South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem has taken a stand against Target’s support of NDN Collective, tweeting, “Target’s leftist execs support giving away Mount Rushmore. Not on my watch. America’s symbol of Freedom will endure.”
Target’s Support of Radical Groups
NDN Collective is just one of the many radical left-wing groups that Target has donated to through its non-profit Target Foundation. The company has also supported transgender groups, LGBT groups, Black Lives Matter groups, and so-called “social justice” groups. In addition, NDN Collective advocates to “demilitarize” the “violent” U.S. military, claiming that the military is in the business of taking land away from communities all around the world. The group also supports dismantling Israel and pushes anti-Israel slogans.

South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem is once again defending Mount Rushmore against cancel culture. In a recent interview with Fox News, Noem stated that she will do everything in her legal authority to protect and preserve the state’s history, and hopes that Mount Rushmore is never desecrated.
Standing Up to Activists
This is not the first time Governor Noem has defended Mount Rushmore. In 2021, she railed against Joe Biden for using COVID as an excuse to cancel the usual Independence Day fireworks displays over the mountain monument. And in 2020, she also stood up to defend Mount Rushmore when activists were once again prescribing to have the monumental mountain carvings destroyed and the land given to local Indian tribes.

Meanwhile, Target is struggling as it continues to embrace woke culture, with sales dropping and customers turning away from the retail giant.
