Vice President Kamala Harris Responds to Approval Rating Criticism
Vice President Kamala Harris recently addressed reports suggesting she has the lowest approval rating of any vice president in American history. During an interview with ABC News reporter Linsey Davis, Harris confidently dismissed these claims and highlighted polls that show she actually has “great” approval ratings.
When Davis brought up the topic of Harris’ approval ratings, she asked if race and gender played a role in the negative perception. Harris responded with a smile, stating, “Well, there are polls that also say I have great approval ratings!” She emphasized that attempts are being made to divert attention from the accomplishments of the administration.
Harris went on to highlight the achievements of the Biden-Harris administration, including the creation of over 13 million jobs since taking office. While acknowledging that some of these jobs were a result of people returning to work after the pandemic, she also mentioned the responsibility for 800,000 new manufacturing jobs and the restoration of America’s integrity on the international stage.

However, it is worth noting that last month, Harris received the lowest net-negative rating of any vice president in the history of NBC News’ polling. According to the poll, only 32% of registered voters had a positive view of Vice President Kamala Harris, while 49% held a negative view, including 39% with a ”very negative” view.
The report from NBC News highlighted that Harris’ net-negative rating of -17 is the lowest ever recorded for a vice president in the history of the poll.
