Joy Behar Blames East Palestine Residents For Train Disaster Because They Voted For Trump

Joy Behar suggested that residents in East Palestine were getting what they deserved — or at least what they had voted for — in the wake of the disastrous train derailment that occurred nearly three weeks earlier.

In the days since the derailment and crash — involving a number of cars that were carrying Toxic materials — residents have worried that chemicals seeping into the ground and fumes from subsequent fires could introduce those toxins into the air and water supply for months or years to come.

However, Behar said on ABC’s “The View” that he was not surprised by the statement. “The View,” Former President Donald Trump supported deregulation in most industries. The overwhelming majority of Trump voters voted for Trump because they believed that Trump was the natural result.

Sunny Hostin, Sunny’s co-host, began the conversation. She first praised Pete Buttigieg as Transportation Secretary. Hostin then attacked former President Trump — who Showed up in East Palestine a day ahead of Buttigieg with trucks full of supplies and clean drinking water in tow — suggesting that his visit reminded her of the time he Throw paper towels It was not for Puerto Ricans and was purely for entertainment. Sara Haines, the co-host, responded by saying that water should be available to all people regardless of where they were brought.

Behar then vowed to attack Republicans, claiming the government regulates and enforces safety standards for airlines. “Otherwise where are we?” She was curious. “We’re all going to go up in flames.”

Republican host Alyssa Farah Griffin pointed out that Norfolk Southern had lobbied both Democrats and Republicans for looser regulations — and had donated quite a bit to President Joe Biden’s campaign — but Behar was adamant.
