Israel says it ‘struck military targets’ in Iran
Israel’s air force said it struck military targets in western and central Iran after Iran launched missiles toward Israel earlier on Sunday night. The announcement came hours after President donald Trump advised Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu not to retaliate immediately, to leave more time for diplomacy. Iranian state media reported explosions in Tehran and other cities, and Iran reportedly closed airspace around its main airfield. The missile barrage was the first direct attack on Israel since an April ceasefire was negotiated.
Israel Defense Forces said Sunday night its air force “struck military targets belonging to the Iranian terror regime in western and central Iran” after Iran fired missiles toward Israel earlier in the day.
The announcement came hours after President Donald Trump told Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu “not to retaliate against Iran’s missile attack and allow more time for diplomacy,” according to Axios.
