Leftists oppose anti-mutilation laws despite doctors not mutilating kids. Why?

The Law Against Imaginary Dangers

Are you tired of the double game? The one where organizers of a gay pride parade cancel their event in the face of a bill meant to protect children from sexual victimization? As many have pointed out, why cancel if there were no plans to expose children to sexual content? It’s time to fight back against the impossible with the Law Against Imaginary Dangers.

Conservatives have long been familiar with Rod Dreher’s Law of Merited Impossibility, which states: “It will never happen, and when it does, you bigots will deserve it.” But legislators are finally figuring out how to fight back against the impossible. Why ban something imaginary? To get people to stop doing it.

Take the recent example in Austin, Texas, where an entire department of a local children’s clinic departed when faced with a law banning chemical castration of children. The clinic insists they never mutilated children, yet they left en masse when faced with the ban. It seems Attorney General Ken Paxton initiated an Investigation Against The Imaginary and called their Law of Merited Impossibility bluff while they were still in Stage 1 (“it will never happen”), right before they were able to deploy Stage 2 (“you bigots deserve it”).

It’s time to take action and work to get legislators to enact a Law Against Imaginary Dangers. Don’t wait for the Law of Merited Impossibility to strike near and dear to home. Let’s stop the thing that is not happening from actually happening.
