Ford recalls 250,000 Focus models, citing engine problems
ford Motor Company has issued a recall for 250,000 Ford Focus models manufactured between 2012 and 2018 due to engine stalling issues while driving. The recall follows an earlier fix from 2018, which it appears did not fully address the problem. The issue is related to a malfunctioning canister purge valve, which can cause engine stalls, inaccurate fuel gauge readings, or warning lights, increasing the risk of accidents. The national Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has assigned the recall number 26V369, while Ford’s internal recall number is 26S40. Notifications for repairs are expected to begin on July 6, and owners can check their vehicle’s status by searching their vehicle identification number online.
