The campaign also includes non-AI content where Pratt parodies *The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air* by writng his own lyrics tied to criticism of his living situation.

Pratt is running against Bass and city council member Nithya Raman, has criticized Bass over issues such as drug use and homelessness, and has said he is not seeking to be a conventional politician. He faces a June 2 primary.

Turning Point USA CEO Erika Kirk praised Los Angeles mayoral candidate Spencer Pratt and his campaign for challenging “a failing system,” calling Pratt “authentically American.”

“His campaign ads are unconventional, but that’s the point; it’s refreshing,” Kirk said on X Thursday.

Pratt’s AI-generated campaign ads have captured national attention over their blend of pop culture, sarcasm, and conditions that people in the city are facing.

In one video, Pratt is portrayed as Batman, protecting the city from Mayor Karen Bass, dressed as the Joker. The mayor commented on the ad, saying it was “violent.”

Pratt is running against Bass and city council member Nithya Raman to become the next Los Angeles mayor.

Pratt’s AI ad campaigns also included a fake attack ad. He trolled Bass in the video, and used sarcasm to highlight criticisms against him.

In another AI-generated video, Pratt highlighted a “pratt summer.” He emphasized key problems in the city, and then showcased young people at a festival with branding pulled from Charli XCX’s viral brat album.

While not made with AI, Pratt created another video channeling The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, writing his own lyrics to the show’s iconic theme song to embrace criticism of his living situation.

“This is what this country is all about. Citizens willing to step into the political arena, unafraid, and challenge a failing system, much like the one that has destroyed Los Angeles,” Kirk said.

Pratt has criticized Bass over her handling of drug use and homelessness in the city.

In an interview with CNN’s Elex Michaelson on Thursday, Pratt said he is “not a politician. I don’t want to be a politician. I want to be a fighter for the people.”

“Instead of speaking like a career politician, he’s speaking as an American who sees and deeply understands how fragile the simple things in life are when leadership fails,” Kirk said.
