Disney’s Live-Action “The Little Mermaid” to Edit Classic Songs, Will Remove Problematic Lyrics Related to Consent and Hurting Girls’ Feelings
Disney has revealed that the lyrics to two songs from the animated initial, which they believe have become problematic in recent years, will be changed in their new live-action version of The Little Mermaid, much to the surprise of virtually no one.

During a recent interview with Vanity Fair, famed Disney artist Alan Menken, who also wrote the music for the 1989 animated edition of Ariel’s’s story, first revealed this unfortunate but not in the least strange news.

Menken was subsequently asked by exit source Leigh Scheps for insight into his time working on the movie after being asked to once again contribute his talents to the live-action The Little Mermaid. The artist continued,” We wrote a third track for King Triton called” Impossible Child.” It just left the movie because dramaturgically we didn’t really need it. People will probably see that track as a DVD outtake because it was so good to work with Javier Bardem on it.

He went on to say,” It goes from life to Broadway, now from animated to show.” Each generation of animated films seems to be a new translation of the Rosetta Stone, which serves as their starting point.
Menken brought up the subject at hand and remarked,” There was a ballad, Her Voice ,” for the Broadway production. Rob, however, was in desperate need of a brand-new track for this time of waves and all the untamed nature of the sea. Ariel, who was the lady who saved Prince Eric’s’s career, represented that to him. Actually, live action movies are a director’s’s format. They want to get it from there and go back to what they saw in the video.
He now acknowledged,” That seems to be the habit, and I go along with it.” In addition, it is obvious that everyone wants a new track for the live action movie to be considered for honours.
