Speaking of the criminal trial that Trump faces in New York State over an alleged hush money payment that he made to adult film actress Stormy Daniels, Cruz said: “This is happening because Democrats are terrified that the American people are going to vote for Donald Trump in November. And they are trying to interfere with the election. They’re trying to stop the election. They’re trying to do everything they can to stop Trump from being reelected.”
“Everything Biden’s touched has gone to crap. It’s been a train wreck,” Cruz added. “The policy agenda has been terrible. We’ve seen inflation out of control, crime out of control, the border out of control. We’ve seen relentless partisans, an attack on our constitutional rights, an attack on free speech and religious liberty, on the Second Amendment. And that’s not to mention the utter chaos and disaster foreign policy and national security is, whether it’s the Afghanistan debacle, or Ukraine, or the horrors unfolding in Israel. Everything Joe Biden has touched has gone to crap.”
He said that because Biden’s record was so terrible, Democrats don’t want to talk about it and would rather use this trial to smear Trump.

“Not a single elected Democrat in Washington gives a damn about the rule of law,” he said.
Democrats are prosecuting Donald Trump because they are terrified that voters will reelect him in November.
