California Is $777 Billion In Debt, But A Task Force Is Mulling An $800 Billion Reparations Package

We don’t want an answer to that question, but we do want to know how seriously the Golden State‘s government is thinking about paying at least$ 800 billion in reparations for its black citizens. Currently, California owes about$ 777 billion in debt.

George Floyd passed away in 2020, and California Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom signed legislation establishing a task force to investigate the possibility of enacting money or similar concepts to atone for historic wrongs against dark citizens, particularly those committed during the Jim Crow era and servitude. It should be noted that slavery was always legalized in California.

The job force must register its remarks by July 1st, which is quickly approaching. By consulting with a group of economists, the panel arrived at the close to$ 1 trillion amount. The screen will voting on which number to register on Wednesday.

The estimated total is 2.5 years California’s$ 300 billion monthly budget, according to the Associated Press. Additionally, it excludes a$ 1 million” health inequity” payment to senior black Americans.

Of course, putting on our leftist learning hats here( an irony, to be sure ), one can easily determine that after slave descendants are given reparations, the rest of Black California will soon get them to support the harms caused by alleged” systemic prejudice.”

The majority of black residents in San Francisco who meet certain requirements already want to receive$ 5 million each, according to a plate. At least locally, there appears to be some maths involved because that proportion was pulled out of thin air.
