By Exposing Hamilton 68, The ‘Twitter Files’ Proved The Deep State Is A Weapon Aimed Directly At You

Recent additions to the “Twitter Files,” Matt Taibbi revealed to the public how Twitter — the preferred social media platform of politicians, academics, and journalists — co-opted the algorithmic blacklist of a bipartisan neoliberal propaganda outfit known as Hamilton 68.

Hamilton 68 was a digital Dashboard that my colleague Emily Jashinsky described recently DiscussedIt was used to mainstream and perpetuate the myth that Russian interference in American politics by algorithmic censorship, suppression.

But it wasn’t just egghead professors, left-wing activist journalists, and the tragically narcissistic (Adam Schiff) who perpetuated the thoroughly repudiated lie that Russia determined the outcome of the 2016 presidential election by hijacking the internet.

Hamilton 68 was of particular interest to the unelected members the American government who staffed the national administration and made up the federal civil service. It was — and likely still is — used by these bureaucrats on a regular basis to substantiate and launder bogus intel into the government’s policy-making narrative to further establish a rule of permanent bureaucracy and chip away at the democratic nature of the American republic.

Amanda Milius is a former Trump administration member and was previously Deputy Assistant Secretary of Content at the State Department. She recently confirmed this to The Federalist.

Outsourcing Intelligence Makes Being Corrupt Easier

Milius claims that senior State Department officials were thrilled when Hamilton 68 was made online. This allowed them to outsource large amounts of information sourcing for communications. This was, naturally, a time-saver. “everything [was] 100 times redundant,” It would be extremely time-saving to have access to verified, pre-sourced intel from a trusted source while maintaining a fast-paced digital communications bureau that has 24-hour access to all of the world.

After Hamilton 68 was processed, the department insisted they could continue to do so. “use it as a tool to track all the Russian misinformation, which at that moment in 2017, was the shiny ball of foreign policy.”

Milius noted that with the election of Donald Trump, there was a distinct shift in the bureaucracy’s expressed priorities. Previously, the federal government had been preoccupied with the Global War on Terrorism (GWOT), but along with Trump’s ascension to the presidency, federal agencies began to place a disproportionate emphasis on utilizing “public-private partnerships” To eliminate alleged Russian influence.

An ex-senior government official suggested recently, that information-based operation, a practice that was first introduced in the digital era and found its roots within the GWOT in the digital era, can also be used by the private sector. This is how Hamilton 68 was likely to have been created. Individuals who served the country gained specific skills and brought them home to use for political ends.

And Milius’ experience with the State Department’s “bot detection” These efforts, which were made to track people spreading Russian disinformation on the internet, support this. She stated that the public/private partnership between the federal bureaucracy, Big was a success.
