Bus crash on Long Island Expressway leaves two dead, multiple injured

A bus crash on the Long Island Expressway in Queens, New York, resulted in two fatalities and about 20 injuries. The accident occurred shortly before midnight when the westbound bus collided with two vehicles, hit the median, flipped, and struck two additional vehicles. The driver and one passenger died at the scene, while approximately two dozen passengers were taken to hospitals. The incident caused traffic delays and is currently under police examination, with around 100 emergency responders on site.

The coach crashed just before midnight, when the westbound bus ran into two vehicles before colliding with the median, causing the bus to flip and strike two additional vehicles. The incident happened in Queens near the Greenpoint Avenue exit in Maspeth.

The bus driver and a passenger were pronounced dead on the scene, and roughly two dozen passengers were transported to nearby hospitals for injuries, according to officials.
