Ben Shapiro Explains How Corporate America’s ‘Deep State’ Turns Companies Woke

Large companies are known for their ability to use a “deep state” They are dragged into social issues by middle management. Ben Shapiro.

Citing a new study, “The Impact of the Internet on Health and Well-being” “Why Do Companies Go Woke?”, best-selling author. “The Ben Shapiro Show” Middle managers can force companies to take social positions that are not in line with their core business. According to Shapiro’s co-authors, Nicolai Foss from Copenhagen Business School, and Peter Klein at Baylor University, middle managers push their companies to adopt social positions on behalf of ideological reasons as well as for their own job security.

“If you’re a middle manager, the best way for you to ensure your own future employment is to go woke, because it means that if you get fired, then you get to yell at your former employer about how they are racist and terrible,” Shapiro referred to the study. “If you go woke, it’s a protection mechanism.”

Lower-level workers worry about their families, while the brass worries about the bottom line. Middle managers know that being open about Left-wing social issues is a guarantee of job security. Shapiro explained that this signals to human resources departments the employee will complain or be portrayed as a martyr if they’re fired.

“The people on top of the company have been bullied into silence by the ridiculous kind of legal architecture that’s been set up around HR,” He stated. “And the people at the bottom, who just want to do their jobs, don’t care.”

Shapiro gave the examples of pre-Elon Musk Twitter and Disney as examples of middle management inmates who run the asylum. He also said that he believes the same principle is at work when Airbnb finds itself in a pickle. As reported by The Daily Wire, conservative Canadian YouTuber Lauren Southern revealed on Twitter that her parents had been banned from the vacation rental service simply because of their daughter’s politics. After The Daily Wire pressed Airbnb, the company claimed Southern’s parents had been banned by “mistake.”

Shapiro suspects the decision regarding Southern’s parents was carried out by a member of the  middle management core “who make the decisions that shift the culture and turn corporations into woke corporations.”

He said that the same thing happens in politics.

“We talk about the deep state in the federal government, [and how when] Donald Trump takes over the presidency and there are a bunch of career bureaucrats existing in the executive branch, they just work against his interests because their interests are not his interests, for example,” Shapiro said.

Companies that succeed in business end up being bureaucratic. This layer of management has all the power, he stated.

“You end up with middle managers in control of the company because the people at the top have basically delegated their way out of power,” Shapiro added that bureaucrats soon discover they can save their jobs by imposition of their Left-wing social beliefs onto the company.

“And this is how things keep getting moved to the Left,” He stated.
