AOC On Tucker Exit: ‘Deplatforming Works’
Left-wing ideologues have always aimed to silence dissenting views, and Tucker Carlson’s departure from Fox News is no exception. New York Democrat Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez celebrated Carlson’s exit, proving that deplatforming is their primary vehicle to cement a monopoly on thought and acceptable discourse.
“Deplatforming works and it is important, and there you go. Good things can happen,” the congresswoman told her 8.6 million followers on Instagram.
But deplatforming is not just limited to Fox News. It’s a movement underway to censor views dissenting from the incumbent Washington regime, from the college campus to the corporate boardroom.
Journalists Matt Taibbi and Michael Shellenberger shared how their reporting illuminated a deep state network between the federal government and America’s largest social media platforms to stomp out ideological non-conformity. “The censorship industrial complex combines established methods of psychological manipulation, some developed by the U.S. military during the global war on terror with highly sophisticated tools from computer science,” Shellenberger told the Weaponization probe.
Democrats on the panel, desperate to implement a censorship regime, attacked Shellenberger and Taibbi in response.
Congresswoman Ocasio-Cortez’s celebration of “deplatforming” shines a light on the left-wing obsession with censoring political opponents. The congresswoman even began fundraising off the network anchor’s ouster with pleas to raise money in the fight against “hate speech.”
But the fight against “hate speech” is just a euphemism for silencing those with inconvenient truths. The left-wing’s obsession with deplatforming and silencing dissenting views is a threat to our liberties and democracy.
