Zelensky invites Xi to visit Ukraine: ‘Ready to see him here’

Chinese President Xi Jinping was invited to visit his war-torn nation by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

China has urged a peaceful resolution to Russia’s war in Ukraine, though the context of their proposal heavily favors Russia’s goals and is not viewed seriously by Ukraine or its western allies. Xi recently visited Moscow, where he met with Russian President Vladimir Putin, further highlighting his relationship with the Russian president.

PUTIN SAYS RUSSIA SUPPORTS” MANY OF THE Rules” IN THE UKRAINE PEACE PLAN OF CHINA.

Zelensky told the Associated Press in an interview that was released on Wednesday,” We are ready to hear him here.” I’d like to talk to him. I spoke with him prior to a full-scale battle. But I didn’t have for the entirety of this year, more than one date.

Mao Ning, a spokesperson for the Chinese Foreign Ministry, stated to writers on Wednesday that she had no fresh information to share about potential travel to Ukraine.

” China has maintained communication with all relevant events, including Ukraine, regarding the Ukraine problem. I don’t know anything about the details you inquired about, she said.

The Kremlin stated that it supported China’s seat in the conflict but would not comment on whether Xi may meet with Zelensky.

In reference to a potential conference between Xi and Zelensky, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov said,” We are aware of China’s balanced position, we really praise it, and we believe that the Chinese president decides on his own the practicality of certain links.” We don’t have the authority to offer advice on this matter.

Early next week, Xi visited Moscow, where he and Putin reiterated their financial assistance and military attitude toward the western. However, the Chinese leader left without making a public commitment to give Russia the weapons and ammunition it needs to replenish its diminished stockpile, which American officials have warned is possible since next month.

Beijing has been forewarned by defence and administration officials that supplying Russia with lethal weapons for use in Ukraine would be a drastic move with serious western repercussions.

Due to the principles of the agreement that would edge Russia, Ukraine and its allies quickly dismissed Beijing’s peace plan for ending the war last month as a non-starter. The proposal may specifically call for a ceasefire that would solidify Russia’s gains in Ukraine, which Kyiv has declared to be unassailable, and give Russia the time it needs to gather its forces, supplies them, or launch new offensives, according to U.S. leaders.

Last year, Putin stated that he supports” many of the rules in the peace plan put forth by China.”

A meeting between Xi and Zelensky has been pushed for by U.S. executives.

National security council representative John Kirby stated to reporters last week that” President Xi saw fit to travel all the way to Moscow, hasn’t spoken to President Zelensky a single time. He has also not bothered to use the Russian goal, and he and his regime keep parroting the Soviet propaganda that this is some sort of western war on Russia.” ” What a bunch of nonsense!”
