MrBeast Goes Woke: Sidekick Chris Tyson’s Gender Transition

Popular YouTube children’s show MrBeast has gone woke after his biological male friend Chris Tyson, who often appears in his videos, recently revealed he’s taking hormones and is undergoing a gender transition.

The Rise of MrBeast

Jimmy Donaldson, aka ‘MrBeast,’ launched the platform in 2012 and has gained millions of young fans over the last decade as he and his friends like Tyson do crazy, wild stunts, and viral challenges. As of April 2023, the 24-year-old influencer is one of the most popular YouTubers on the site with more than 300 million subscribers across 19 domestic and international channels. His videos have been translated into 11 languages, The New York Post noted.

His average follower is younger than 18 and his channel is designed for young adults and children. Over the last few months, MrBeast’s sidekick has gone from looking like one of his guy pals to looking “more and more feminine,” subjecting millions of children worldwide to his public transformation and changing the “entire dynamic of the show,” as Daily Wire Editor Emeritus Ben Shapiro noted on a recent episode of “The Ben Shapiro Show.”

Chris Tyson’s Gender Transition

Tyson is a 26-year old man who tied the knot with fellow influencer Katie Tyson in 2018 and the two share a 2-year-old son together. In March 2023, before announcing he was taking hormones, Tyson shared that the pair had been separated since 2022.

Earlier this month, Tyson tweeted about taking HRT (Hormone Replacement Therapy) when one Twitter user noted how different the sidekick looked.

Tyson faced a backlash for the move subjecting not only millions of kids to the transgender push, but also his own son Tucker, who critics said was losing a much needed father figure in his life. He hit back and wrote, “I know I’m going to be a great parent, and so is every other person who puts the love of their child before everything. I made this decision because I wanted to show up as my best and happiest self for him. In a way, this way FOR Tucker.”

MrBeast has seen the criticism and defended his pal, calling the backlash transphobic when he responded to a tweet with a headline that read, “Why Chris Will Soon Be A Nightmare For MrBeast.”

“Yeah, this is getting absurd,” Donaldson tweeted. “Chris isn’t my ‘nightmare’ he’s my f***en friend and things are fine. All this transphobia is starting to piss me off.” MrBeast made that tweet on April 13 and has yet to say anything further.
