Known for helping WWE gain global prominence in the 1980s, Hogan was a major pop culture figure and a WWE hall of Famer. In recent years, he made headlines for his public support of Donald Trump at the 2024 Republican National Convention and for sharing his personal baptism experiance, expressing his dedication to Jesus. After retiring from wrestling, he promoted his Real American Beer brand, aiming to unite people.Hogan’s family recently celebrated the birth of his twin grandchildren. WWE and public figures, including politicians and Donald trump Jr., expressed condolences and honored his legacy.

Wrestling icon Hulk Hogan died Thursday at the age of 71.
Born Terry Gene Bollea, the wrestler’s death comes just over a year after he went viral at the 2024 Republican National Convention, where he gave President Donald Trump a ripping endorsement. Following the election, Hogan said on Instagram, “we’re all real Americans,” and encouraged people to “focus on what unites us.”
Hogan also posted a photo of him arm-wrestling Trump on Oct. 27.
“WWE is saddened to learn WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan has passed away. One of pop culture’s most recognizable figures, Hogan helped WWE achieve global recognition in the 1980s. WWE extends its condolences to Hogan’s family, friends, and fans,” WWE said on X.
“RIP to the great Hulk Hogan, who lived right here in FL-13. It was an honor to be your Representative. Gone, but the legend of Hulkamania will run wild forever,” Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL) said on X.
“Rest In Peace Hulk Hogan. He was a patriot and superstar who entertained and helped millions. Hulkmania will live forever!” Rep. Mike Collins (R-FL) said on X.
TMZ reported that medics were dispatched to Hogan’s Clearwater, Florida, home early Thursday morning regarding a “cardiac arrest,” according to operators.
In his post-wrestling career, Hogan promoted his beer brand, Real American Beer, which he started to “bring the country back together one beer at a time.”
“R.I.P to a legend,” Donald Trump Jr. said on X.

Hogan also went viral in December 2023, when he posted a video and photos of his baptism on X, saying, “total surrender and dedication to Jesus is the greatest day of my life.”

Hogan’s death also comes just six months after he became a grandfather when his daughter, Brooke, 37, gave birth to twins, Oliver and Molly. Brooke is married to former hockey player Steven Oleksy.
