The widow of Haiti’s slain president, Jovenel Moise, is seeking justice while testifying in court. According to reports Wednesday, Martine Moise answered questions for hours during a judicial hearing into the assassination of her husband.
Authorities said more than 40 people have been arrested in connection to the murder, although it remains unclear who administered the operation. Moise was fatally shot back in July after assassins stormed his private residence.
“We demand justice, justice, justice, justice, justice. We must get justice for Jovenel Moise, so that other nations can respect us. Because he was not just any person, but a sitting president. We demand an international investigation to get justice. Because this government seems to be an obstacle to justice for Jovenel.”
