‘Who Cares?’: Cuomo Channels Hillary in Response to Damning Report on NY Nursing Home Deaths

Earlier this week, the New York attorney general’s office released a damning report suggesting that the true number of COVID-19 nursing home deaths could be more than 50 percent higher than originally claimed by Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s (D., N.Y.) administration.

“Who cares?” Cuomo said Friday in response to the report. “They died!”

The governor’s remarks were reminiscent of former secretary of state Hillary Clinton’s infamously dismissive outburst during a 2013 congressional hearing on the Benghazi terrorist attacks.

“What difference, at this point, does it make?” Clinton said in response to pointed questions from Sen. Ron Johnson (R., Wis.) about the provenance of the attack, which was initially (and falsely) blamed on an anti-Muslim video.

Cuomo has quickly become one of the most controversial political figures in the country. His critics sometimes refer to him as “The Butcher of Albany” for his disastrous leadership in the early days of the pandemic.

Meanwhile, many journalists and other liberals have swooned over the so-called Love Gov and didn’t bat an eye when he published a book on “leadership lessons” in October 2020, or during his many cringeworthy appearances on CNN, where he was playfully interviewed by his own brother.

Additionally, Cuomo received an International Emmy Founders Award in November for promoting “authentic truth and stability” by holding press conferences. He was lavished with praise for it by celebs, including Robert DeNiro, star of Dirty Grandpa.
