Journalists are told by the White House that they have” no business” reporting on leaked intelligence.

The Pentagon‘s’s allegedly leaked classified information are circulating online, but the White House urged reporters not to report on them.

The U.S. government is rushing to listen to what some believe may be the biggest leak of classified information since the Edward Snowden story, and John Kirby, the National Security Council’s’s coordinator for strategic communications, presented his way at the White House press presentation on Monday.

After being questioned repeatedly about the articles, Kirby said from the podium,” This is information that has no business in the common domain, without confirming the accuracy of the document.”

If you don’t mind, he continued,” It has no venture appearing on the front pages of newspapers or on broadcast.” ” It should not be out there and it is not intended for public demand.”

In a statement released on Sunday, the Pentagon stated that the Department of Defense ( DoD) is examining the veracity and potential effects on national security of images that have started to appear on social media in recent weeks, starting with Discord and displaying what appear to be top-secret information about China, Russia’s’s war in Ukraine, surveillance efforts, and other topics. The Pentagon added that U.S. officials discussed the revelation with friends, colleagues, and Congress.

Many of the documents, according to a U.S. defence official, appear to have been created for Gen. Mark Milley, the Joint Chiefs of Staff chair, and other senior military officials. However, he stressed that anyone with the necessary certification may have access to these records.

Although the origin of the alleged hole is still unknown, the Department of Justice has launched a criminal investigation into it in response to the DoD’s’s referrals. Former Pentagon official Kirby, a retired Navy rear commander, confirmed that there is fear that at least some of the document images may have been altered.
