White House urgently seeks to separate Joe Biden from Hunter’s business affairs: Stefanik
House Republican Conference Chairwoman Accuses White House of Distancing Itself from Hunter Biden’s Business Dealings
House Republican Conference Chairwoman Elise Stefanik has accused the White House of desperately trying to distance itself from Hunter Biden’s business dealings. In an interview with the Daily Mail, Stefanik criticized the Biden administration for changing its statements regarding the first son’s business arrangements.
Concerns Raised in a Co-Authored Letter
Stefanik, along with fellow House Republicans Jim Jordan, James Comer, and Jason Smith, co-authored a letter addressed to White House counsel Stuart Delery. The letter demanded an explanation for the shift in the administration’s language and expressed concerns about the truthfulness of their statements.
Despite the letter, the White House has remained evasive in its response, according to Stefanik. She expressed frustration, stating, “Instead of addressing my questions and concerns, the White House has chosen to ignore them and continue misleading the American people.”
White House Maintains Consistency
While Republicans claim that Biden has changed his answers, the White House maintains that its position has always remained the same. White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre reiterated this stance, stating, “The President was never involved in any business dealings with his son. Our answer has not changed.”
The Washington Examiner has reached out to Stefanik’s office for further comment.
