Hunter Biden’s art patron reached federal contribution limits, so her underage children continued to fund Democrats.

Elizabeth Hirsh Naftali: ‌A Generous ⁣Supporter of Liberal Politicians ‍and Causes

In⁣ September 2015, ⁤Hunter Biden’s art patron,⁤ Elizabeth Hirsh Naftali, made a significant ‌contribution of $2,700 to⁣ Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign. What made this donation even ⁤more interesting was that ⁣Naftali’s 17-year-old daughter ‌also sent Clinton the ⁢same amount just days later. This occurred shortly after Naftali reached the⁤ legal limit for ‍primary campaign contributions to Clinton. Over the years,⁢ Naftali’s children continued to follow in their mother’s footsteps, donating thousands of dollars to various ⁤Democratic politicians.

Naftali’s daughter, who ‍was still in ‌high school at the time, not only made substantial donations but also ‍secured a‌ spot on‍ Clinton’s National Finance Committee at the age of 18. She later worked as a ‌technology consultant for the⁢ Democratic‍ National Committee while in college. The Naftali family’s support for liberal politicians didn’t stop ‌there. In July 2022, President Joe Biden appointed Naftali ⁢herself to his Commission for the ‍Preservation of America’s Heritage Abroad, raising concerns ‌about potential ethical issues.

While the ⁤White House initially ‍promised anonymity for Hunter Biden’s art patrons, it was recently revealed ‍that Naftali was ⁤one of them. This revelation sparked ⁣further discussions about ethics,‍ especially considering Hunter Biden’s art sales and ongoing legal battles related to his taxes. It’s worth noting that‍ federal law allows minors to ‌donate ‍to ⁣political campaigns, as ‍long⁣ as they do so willingly and with their own money. In ⁣the‍ case of ⁤Naftali’s children, ‌the funds they used for donations came from a ⁤trust set up by their grandparents.

If Naftali directed or‌ influenced her children’s contributions after she reached⁢ her donation⁣ limit, it could potentially be⁢ seen as a straw donation scheme. ⁣Campaign⁤ finance watchdogs ‌have raised concerns about this possibility. Despite these‍ questions, the Naftali family ‍has⁤ remained silent on the ⁤matter.

Following ⁣in Their Mother’s Footsteps

In⁤ addition to⁢ the underage contributions, ‌Naftali’s ⁢children have continued to ‌support Democratic politicians, often mirroring ‌their mother’s donation⁤ habits. For example, in 2020, three of ‌Naftali’s children made maximum contributions to Joe Biden’s campaign ‌after their mother had already donated over‌ $5,000. They have also contributed to lesser-known Democrats, including Antonio Delgado, Abby Finkenauer, and Asif Mahmood, ‍long⁣ after ⁢Naftali⁣ herself was‌ no longer able to contribute.

Since 2004, Naftali has funneled millions of dollars to Democrats, while her children ⁣have contributed over $146,000 to 46⁣ Democratic politicians and committees ⁣since 2012. The influence of the Naftali family in ‍the political ⁣landscape is ⁤undeniable.

White House Connections

Shortly ‌after Hunter Biden’s first art show in November 2021, Naftali met with White House policy ⁢adviser Richard Figueroa. This meeting was followed by ⁤at least 12 more visits to the White ‍House, including a private meeting ‍with senior White House adviser Neera ⁢Tanden. The White House had⁤ promised safeguards regarding Hunter Biden’s art sales, but Naftali’s presence and connections raise questions about the extent of those safeguards.

It’s important ⁢to⁣ note that Hunter Biden himself has indicated ⁣his‌ influence in⁢ appointments to the Commission for the Preservation of⁣ America’s Heritage Abroad. When his cousin⁣ requested a spot on the commission, Hunter Biden mentioned that ⁣his business partner had successfully secured‍ a‌ position⁣ in ⁤2015. Despite‌ this, the Biden administration claims that it was former House⁤ speaker Nancy ⁣Pelosi who recommended Naftali for the ⁣commission.
